  16. The Polish-born Horszowski was famous as a child piano prodigy
  17. and played the Bach Inventions from memory at age five. Ninety-five
  18. years later, he was still giving superb perform ances. During
  19. his career Horszowski was perhaps the least celebrated great
  20. pianist living; nevertheless, his cultish following was ardent.
